House of Cards Scores A Fifth Season

Netflix has announced that they’ve renewed their political drama “House of Cards” for a fifth season – over a month ahead of the release of the fourth season on the streaming giant on March 4th.

The fifth season is expected to contain the show’s usual thirteen episode run and will air in the first quarter of 2017. Academy Award winner Kevin Spacey will reprise his role of Frank Underwood, but show runner Beau Willimon is bowing out at the end of season four.

David Fincher, Joshua Donen, Beau Willimon, Kevin Spacey, Dana Brunetti, John David Coles and Eric Roth serve as executive producers.
