Sony Pictures Animation and Nelvana Studio are developing a TV series based on the “Hotel Transylvania” animated monster comedy film franchise.
The 2012 first film was set at a resort where monsters and their families can live it up and are free to be the monsters they are without humans to bother them.
The resort’s owner Dracula (Adam Sandler) invites the world’s most famous monsters to celebrate his beloved daughter Mavis’ 118th birthday, but a human stumbles on the hotel for the first time and takes a shine to Mavis. A sequel is set to premiere this Fall.
The small screen cartoon will focus on the teenage years of Dracula’s daughter, Mavis, and her friends in brand new adventure that aims to premiere early 2017.
