He won the Oscar for “The Silence of the Lambs” and admits that it was “a good film,” but Anthony Hopkins wasn’t so happy with his two subsequent turns as Hannibal Lecter it would seem.
Speaking with The Wrap this week, Hopkins was asked whether he would play Lecter again to which he responded with a straight up: “No… I don’t want to do that. Done with that. I did it once. Made the mistake of doing it twice – three times. ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ is okay. It was a good film.”
Mads Mikkelsen most recently played the character in the NBC series “Hannibal” which was canceled last year after three seasons.
