Meryl Streep is in final negotiations to star in “Great Hope Springs” for Film 360 says Variety.
Streep has been circling “Springs” but didn’t want to commit without a director. Mike Nichols (“Charlie Wilson’s War”) was slated to helm but opted out, which lead to “The Devil Wears Prada” helmer David Frankel coming onboard.
Streep and Frankel have been looking to re-team for a while, which lead to Streep finally locking down a deal.
Vanessa Taylor penned the Black List script about a middle-aged couple who, after three decades of marriage, attend an intense counseling weekend to examine the intimacy issues threatening their marriage.
Guymon Casady and Todd Black will produce. Shooting is slated to kick off in August.
