Showtime has suddenly and unexpectedly made the sixth season premiere of “Homeland” available on all its streaming and on-demand platforms. That’s a whopping sixteen days before the linear premiere.
Picking up several months after Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) thwarted a terrorist attack in Berlin, Carrie is now living in Brooklyn and working at a foundation that provides aid to Muslims living in the United States.
The season will tackle the after-effects of the U.S. presidential election, which in this series ended with a woman elected to the office for the first time in the country’s history. The entire season will take place between election day and the inauguration.
The official linear premiere on the network takes place January 15th at 9pm.
