Showtime has been busy this morning with the release of the official trailers for the upcoming sixth season of its flagship series “Homeland” along with the second season of its 2016 success story “Billions”.
“Homeland” returns January 15th in a season set in the aftermath of a U.S. presidential election and the transition between election day and the inauguration for a president-elect (Elizabeth Marvel).
Meanwhile “Billions” returns with new episodes in which hard-charging U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) squares off against billionaire hedge fund king Bobby ‘Axe’ Axelrod (Damian Lewis). It returns to screens on February 19th.
They’re not the only network though doing stuff today. The online streaming giants have been at it as well with Hulu offering a preview of the second season of “The Path” starring Aaron Paul and returns January 25th. Rival Netflix has unveiled a featurette from the upcoming DreamWorks animated series “Trollhunters” which debuts globally next Friday.
