Holcroft Returns For “Kingsman” Sequel

Despite his character appearing to meet his demise in the first film, Edward Holcroft looks to be reprising his role of Eggsy’s chisel-jawed main rival Charlie Hesketh in the upcoming sequel to “Kingsman: The Secret Service” at 20th Century Fox.

Taron Egerton is returning to his star-making role as Gary ‘Eggsy’ Unwin, a now fully-trained secret agent who will be spending much of the follow-up in the United States. Colin Firth is not expected to return in either a flashback or as a new character.

Holcroft is back, but whether his character is as well remains to be seen. Halle Berry is onboard as the head of the CIA for a role that is expected to continue on in a third film should it happen. Julianne Moore in talks to play the villain.

Matthew Vaughn is returning to direct, the first sequel he’s ever personally directed. The film is currently targeting a June 16th 2017 release.
