Hoffman Joins Mary and Max Claymation

Philip Seymour Hoffman has joined the cast of the Australian claymation project “Mary and Max” says The Hollywood Reporter.

Hoffman and Toni Collette play the title roles in the story of pen pals — one living in Australia, the other in the U.S. — whose friendship grows over 20 years.

The film is narrated by the legendary Barry Humphries and features cameos from Eric Bana, singer Renee Geyer, veteran music critic Ian “Molly” Meldrum, and actors Julie Forsyth and John Flaus.

Oscar winning short film director Adam Elliot and producer Melanie Coombs (“Harvie Krumpet”) make their feature debut on the project.
