“Hitman” Game Remasters Coming Next Week

IO Interactive has announced in a news release Friday that it will release the “Hitman HD Enhanced Collection” on January 11th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. No word as yet on a PC release date.

The collection includes 4K resolution and 60 FPS versions of both 2006’s “Hitman: Blood Money” and 2012’s “Hitman: Absolution”. There will be other visual enhancements including improvements to lighting as well as texture resolution and formats.

Controls have also been revised to offer a more intuitive gameplay experience, and super-sampling and upscale support have also been added. The release follows in the wake of “Hitman 2” hitting stores in November – scoring critical acclaim but disappointing sales.
