Hirsch, Grainger Join “Bonnie & Clyde”

Emile Hirsch (“Into the Wild”) and Holliday Grainger (“The Borgias”) are set to play Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow in Lifetime/History’s four-hour miniseries “Bonnie & Clyde”.

Sony Pictures TV and Storyline Entertainment are producing the mini based on the story of the charismatic convicted armed robber Clyde who sweeps an impressionable, petite, small-town waitress Bonnie off her feet. The two embark on one one of most infamous bank-robbing sprees in history.

Holly Hunter will play Bonnie’s mother Emma Parker, and William Hurt plays Texas Ranger Frank Hamer who is credited with tracking down and killing the pair.

Bruce Beresford directs the project from a script by John Rice and Joe Batteer. The production will air simultaneously on two A+E Networks, History and Lifetime.
