Hester Stanhope Biopic Goes “Too Far”

“The King’s Speech” producer Gareth Unwin and writer David Seidler are teaming for the upcoming $18 million biopic “The Lady Who Went Too Far” for Bedlam Productions says Variety.

Based on “Star of the Morning”, Kirsten Ellis’s biography of Lady Hester Stanhope, the story centres on the life of the famous early 19th century world traveler.

Stanhope traverses through Europe and the Middle East in search of herself during the Napoleonic Wars. She’s described as a ‘female Lawrence of Arabia’ a full century before T.E Lawrence set out on his legendary travels.

David Seidler will be adapting the script and shooting is scheduled to take place next year in the UK and Malta.
