Hendricks Joins “Drive”, Akerman At “Station”

Christina Hendricks (“Mad Men”) has joined the cast of Nicolas Winding Refn’s thriller “Drive” for Bold Films, OddLot Entertainment and Marc Platt Prods. reports Variety.

Ryan Gosling plays a Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a freelance getaway driver during robberies and ends up on the run with a contract on his head and an ex-con’s girlfriend (Carey Mulligan) in his car.

Meanwhile “Watchmen” actress Malin Akerman has signed onto CIA thriller “The Numbers Station” for Furst Films reports Variety.

The $10 million feature has Ethan Hawke playing a disgraced black ops agent tasked with a dead-end job of protecting a young woman (Akerman) in the middle of the Nevada desert. When the two come under attack, they have to fight to stay alive.

Kasper Barfoed (“The Candidate”) directs and shooting kicks off early next year.
