HBO Releases 7.5 Hour Version Of “Godfather”

From today, HBO will be making available “The Godfather Epic” – an over seven-hour version of Francis Ford Coppola’s mafioso epic.

This version of the saga is a remastered single film bringing together Coppola’s “The Godfather” and “The Godfather Part II” recut in chronological order and including additional footage left out of the theatrical cuts.

This extended cut screened once back in 1979 in censored form with commercial interruptions. A shortened version was then released on VHS in 1981. This HBO version is the first time the uncensored and commercial free version has been made available

“The Godfather Epic” will be aired throughout the month on HBO and is now available on-demand through HBO Go and HBO Now.
