Following its second season premiere earlier this month, HBO has given the green light to a third season of its Dwayne Johnson-led comedy series “Ballers”.
Looking at the whirlwind lifestyles and real-life problems of former and current football players, Johnson plays an ex-superstar who has reinvented himself as a financial manager for today’s players in sun-soaked Miami.
Stephen Levinson created the series which scored an average 9.1 million viewers in gross audience over its first season – HBO’s biggest half-hour in six years.
Much of the cast from the second season will likely return. Rob Corddry, John David Washington, Omar Benson Miller, Donovan Carter, Troy Garity, Jazmyn Simon, London Brown, Arielle Kebbel, Dule Hill, Richard Schiff and Andy Garcia also star.
