Friends Creators Rule Out Reboot Or Reunion

While there’s zero chance of a “Will & Grace” or “Mad About You” style revival, the cast of “Friends” are potentially reuniting for an unscripted reunion special is in the works at the forthcoming HBO MAX streaming service.

Variety reports that according to their source, actors Sources say original cast members Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer are in discussions to appear in the special, alongside co-creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman.

No official plans are currently in place nor are there details on what the special would look like. Most likely it will tie in with HBO Max being the exclusive streaming home of all 236 episodes of the series when the service kicks off May 2020.
