Have Your Say: World War Z, Monsters U

On the one hand there’s a prequel to one of Pixar’s most beloved movies. On the other, a mega-budget zombie epic based on an acclaimed book which underwent a troubled production history.

Both films however have scored fairly good reviews from the critics. “World War Z” has managed a 68% and 6.2/10 on Rotten Tomatoes, along with a 63/100 on Metacritic. “Monsters University” scored 77% and 6.7/10 on Rotten Tomatoes, and a 63/100 on Metacritic.

In terms of money though, the divide is more prominent. Pre-release estimates based on tracking figures have the Pixar cartoon taking the top spot at the box-office this weekend with $80 million, followed by returning champ “Man of Steel” with $50-55 million, and “World War Z” in third with $40-45 million.

I personally quite enjoyed both of them, WWZ in particular was surprisingly good even if it barely resembled the more impressive source material. Now’s the time to have your say, what did you think of either? Please leave you comments below.
