Hot on the heels of the casting of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Marvel may have found the titular hero of “Luke Cage,” one of the four series to be produced under its deal with Netflix.
Deadline indicates that the studio has apparently picked Mike Colter for the role of the African American superhero. The character is expected to play a significant part in around half the episodes of the “Jessica Jones” series before scoring his own standalone series.
Colter, who was originally rumored for the role several weeks ago alongside “Crisis” actor Lance Gross, was recently the star of the digital series “Halo: Nightfall”. He’s best known though for his recurring role as the dangerous drug kingpin Lemond Bishop in CBS’ legal drama “The Good Wife”.
