Hart of Dixie Creator Says It’s Done

Whilst The CW hasn’t officially made the announcement, “Hart of Dixie” show runner Leila Gerstein has officially confirmed that the series is effectively cancelled.

In a series of tweets this week, Gerstein confirmed the remaining three episodes of the shortened fourth season will serve as the last, however they prepared for this and so “the finale will be tremendously satisfying to all.”

The comments confirm those from actors involved in the show who seemed to indicate that when filming wrapped in October, they wouldn’t be coming back.

The CW has otherwise already renewed essentially the rest of its line-up including “Arrow,” “The 100,” “The Flash,” “Supernatural,” “The Originals,” “The Vampire Diaries,” “Jane the Virgin” and “Reign” for new seasons in the Fall.
