J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter” site Pottermore has just announced that the new stage play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II” will be made available in literary form.
The site says a Special Rehearsal Edition of the script book for the new stage play will be published immediately following the play’s world premiere this summer and will feature a version of the script at the time of the play’s preview performances.
“Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” opens for previews several weeks before its official first performance on Saturday, July 30th in London’s West End. The Special Rehearsal Edition of the script book will later be replaced by a Definitive Collector’s Edition.
The play’s story picks up after the epilogue scene in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” and had to be broken into two parts due to the “epic nature of the story”. The whole saga is officially the eighth story in the ‘Potter’ canon.
