“Harry Potter” Is Done After ‘Cursed Child’

Many years since the last time it happened, book stores around the world saw themselves staying open until late for the release of a new “Harry Potter” literary work.

The publication of the script for the stage production of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” was made available as a book and CNN reports that due to preorder sales it’s on its way to become the best-selling book of 2016 at both Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

J.K. Rowling, who co-wrote the script with playwright Jack Thorne, tells Reuters that with this title’s release it really is the end of Harry Potter’s journey:

“Harry is done now… He goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we’re done. This is the next generation, you know. So, I’m thrilled to see it realized so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now.”

Rowling was the solo author of the next big screen outing set within the same cinematic universe – the upcoming 1920s spin-off feature “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” which opens November 18th.
