Newcomer Jeremie Harris (“Bessie,” “The Get Down”) has scored a series regular role on FX’s drama pilot “Legion” based on the “X-Men” franchise.
The story follows David Haller (Dan Stevens), a man who may be more than human and who has struggled with mental illness since his teenage years. Diagnosed as schizophrenic, David has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years.
Following a strange encounter with a fellow patient, he is confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real. Harris will play Ptonomy, a sardonic but stand-offish outsider and former child prodigy who feels trapped in the past.
Noah Hawley (“Fargo”) is executive producing the series which also stars Aubrey Plaza, Jean Smart and Rachel Keller. Production kicks off in Marh.
