SPOILERS AHEAD FOR “GAME OF THRONES” SEASON 5
The events of the fifth season finale of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” still has many fans debating about whether Jon Snow will be back.
Kit Harington’s character seemingly met his demise at the hands of his fellow Night’s Watch members, yet this is a show with fantastical elements and characters who have been returned from the dead.
Indeed, the fact that the Red Priestess is on hand at Castle Black gives the show a seemingly easy solution to the problem. Yet HBO itself has been keeping word on Harington’s involvement under wraps.
Most of the speculation about his continued involvement has been due to the fact the actor has been spotted on set and has yet to cut his hair – something he’s not allowed to do so long as he remains on the show.
Now though, in an interview with Belgian outlet Humo and translated by a user on Reddit, 28-year-old Harington essentially confirms he’s not finished with his role yet:
“The important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract… Let’s just say that ‘Game of Thrones’ will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over. One thing’s for sure: the day I’m no longer on Thrones is the day I’ll bury myself in movie projects.”
Though the network hasn’t said, all indications are that the show is targeting an eight season-long run so Jon Snow may well be with it until the end.
