Colin Hanks, Monet Mazur, Beverly D’Angelo, Owen Benjamin, Rachel Specter have joined the cast of the untitled Anna Faris project (aka. “House Bunny”) for Sony Pictures and Happy Madison says The Hollywood Reporter.
The script by Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith (“Legally Blonde”) centers on a Playboy bunny (Faris) who gets kicked out of the Playboy Mansion and becomes the house mother to the lamest sorority on a college campus.
Hanks is the male lead in the film, playing Faris’ love interest. Mazur will play an evil Playboy bunny, while Cheetah Girls’ Kiely Williams will play a member of the lame sorority, one who suffers from extreme shyness and communicates via notes and texts.
All-American Rejects frontman Tyson Ritter plays a frat guy who is more than he seems, while Benjamin is a butler seduced by Mazur. D’Angelo (“Entourage”) is the house mom of the bitchy sorority, of which Specter (“Lonely Hearts”) is a part.
Shooting is under way in Los Angeles, with Fred Wolf directing.
