Haneke Heading To TV With “Kelvin’s Book”

Oscar and Palme d’Or winning writer/director Michael Haneke (“The White Ribbon,” “Amour”) is set to tackle his first TV series with the ten-part high concept event series “Kelvin’s Book” for Fremantle Media’s UFA Fiction.

The adventurous English language series is set in a near future dystopian world. A group of young people are forced to make an emergency landing outside of their home, and are confronted with the actual face of their home country for the first time.

Haneke says the larger canvas of a TV series is the main draw here: “After ten TV movies and 12 films, I wanted to tell a longer story for once.” Fremantle Media previously produced “The Returned” and “American Gods”.
