Hancock Joins, Set Photos From “Valerian”

Almost twenty years after “The Fifth Element,” director Luc Besson returns to the space opera genre with his upcoming big-budget comic adaptation “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets”. Both actors have posted new photos from prep work for the film – one showing DeHaan getting some work done on his hair and eyes while the other showing the group getting ready to go through the script. Filming on the project is slated to kick off right after the new year.

Variety reports that musical legend and Oscar winning composer Herbie Hancock will join the cast in an unspecified role. He joins the also confirmed Ethan Hawke and Clive Owen in the film which opens Summer 2017.
