Haley Bennett (“Ender’s Game,” “True Grit”) will join Patrick Wilson and Jessica Biel in the untitled psychological thriller adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s novel “The Blunderer” at Sierra Pictures, 120dB Films and Electric Shadow.
Set in early 1960s New York, Wilson plays a successful architect married to the beautiful wife (Biel). His fascination with an unsolved murder however leads him on a downward spiral.
He’s soon forced to play cat-and-mouse with a clever killer and an overambitious detective while at the same time lusting after another woman (Bennett). Bennett replaces Imogen Poots whom was previously cast in the part of the other woman.
Andy Goddard helms the project which began filming this week in Cincinnati. Christine Vachon, David Hinojosa and Ted Hope are producing.
