Once he wraps up work on “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows”, British filmmaker Guy Ritchie looks like he may focus on an adaptation of the WW2-set DC Comics title “Sgt. Rock” for Warner Bros. Pictures as his next project reports Twitchfilm.
Ritchie was initially linked to ‘Rock’ a few years back but eventually passed it onto Francis Lawrence who wanted to give it a futuristic spin.
Now, Ritchie is already supervising the current draft of the screenplay which will retain the World War II setting. Ritchie has also been linked to the Warren Ellis scripted “Excalibur” but that seems likely to be put aside in favour of this.
