James Gunn’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” sequel is not far off now, only a month-and-a-half away, and in a new interview a new cast member has been revealed.
Gunn has confirmed that former young Lex Luthor on “Smallville” and the voice of the animated The Flash, actor Michael Rosenbaum, will have a key role in the new ‘Guardians’. Speaking on The Adam Corolla Show to promote “The Belko Experiment” which he wrote, Gunn says Rosenbaum and the already announced Sylvester Stallone will appear as key characters:
“We do have a couple of characters who are very important to the Marvel Universe who are going to make their debut in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ which people don’t know about. Sylvester Stallone plays one of these characters…my friend Michael Rosenbaum also has a pretty decent movie in the role as well and it sort of works in tandem with Sly’s character.”
Rosenbaum played Peanuts’ Charlie Brown in two episodes of Gunn’s old webseries “PG Porn”. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” opens in cinemas on May 5th.
