Filmmaker James Gunn admits that in regards to the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy” sequel, it’s not shooting the actual film that worries him. Rather, it’s coming up with the film’s soundtrack – the “Awesome Mix, Volume Two”
Gunn tells Entertainment Tonight: “Originally people kept asking me, ‘Don’t you feel a lot of pressure to do the second movie?’ and I didn’t in general, because we had our hands tied behind our back on the first one by having to introduce all those characters, so it seems like doing the second movie is actually easier in that respect. I did feel a little pressure for the soundtrack because so many people loved it and we went platinum and all that other stuff.”
He then goes on to say: “the soundtrack in the second one is better. I feel like it’s better, so I’m excited about it.” He sadly did not offer any clues as to what songs we’ll see on the album.
Right now though he’s saying he’s preparing to go quiet for sometime so he can complete the screenplay: “I’m really excited about it, and I feel really good about the story. It really is something unique, so I feel good about it.”
