Actress Carla Gugino has hinted that she may return for the second season of Netflix’s “The Haunting of Hill House” which this time goes by the name “The Haunting of Bly Manor”.
The new season will focus on all new characters as series creator/director Mike Flanagan felt he had fully told the story of the Crain family. While the first was based on Shirley Jackson’s novel, the new episodes will serve as a loose adaptation of Henry James’ “The Turn of the Screw”.
Gugino, who also worked with Flanagan on his Stephen King film adaptation “Gerald’s Game,” was aske by The Wrap about her potential second season involvement to which she said:
“Well I can’t say anything definitive at this point, other than Mike and I really love collaborating and working together and any opportunity where a schedule allows for us to do that, we will, and I would be honored to… So we’re talking a lot about it and we’ll just see if all schedules allow. All I can say is I’m very excited for Season 2 and to see what Mike does.”
Trevor Macy, Meredith Averill, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank are all expected back as executive producers.
