Whilst there has been plenty of talk about which characters and superheroes might pop up in “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” there’s been hardly any such speculation about Marvel’s upcoming “Ant-Man” film which has been seen as more of a standalone project.
That changes today with a report from Latino Review that talks about the revisions to Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish’s script for the film. It seems amongst the earliest of those revisions was a way to better integrate the film into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In earlier drafts of the script, the first act prologue reportedly has the younger version of Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym character having a meeting at S.H.I.E.L.D during its early stages (it’s not made clear what time period this is). There he meets up with “Captain America: The First Avenger” characters Howard Stark, Peggy Carter, Armin Zola and… a younger version of Robert Redford’s Alexander Pierce character from “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”.
The script has since undergone further re-writes, so whether this is still the case is unknown. One person whom it won’t be though is “Battlestar Galactica” actress Katee Sackhoff. Though fans have been suggesting her for Ms. Marvel recently, the actress tells Vulture she hasn’t had any meetings with Marvel over any potential roles yet.
