Guardians Sequel To Avoid New Characters

With the second draft of the script now completed, filmmaker James Gunn seems to have the plot and characters of his “Guardians of the Galaxy” sequel pretty much set.

While the first film strikes a good balance between all its characters, there is understandable concern that the sequel would include a bunch of new faces that would draw attention away from the main ones. Fear not though says Gunn who revealed on Twitter:

He was also asked about the chance of Hulk appearing the film, discussion he essentially shuts down saying that Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill will be the film’s only human character.

So who might be one of the few new additions? A strong female character seems likely which has led to the suggestion that it is Moondragon – a key female character from Guardians of the Galaxy comics and the daughter of Drax The Destroyer.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is slated for release in early 2017.
