With the film only a few weeks away, Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” has just sprung up on short term box-office tracking figures and the estimates are out of this world.
Deadline reports that the film is currently on track to potentially open to $150 million at the domestic box office – easily ahead of the $94 million opening of the first, and the fifth largest MCU film opening behind the two “Avengers” and the third films in the “Captain America” and “Iron Man” series.
Total awareness of the film stands at 88% with definite interest at 63% and first choice numbers are at 28%. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” opens on May 5th.
