Filmmaker James Gunn has confirmed that the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” will indeed have a post-credits scene.
Whether it’s just one, or if there’s two, it’s not clear. He does say in a tweet: “unless you have to rush out because your mother is dying, stay through the entire end credits” which suggests there’s a least one stinger right at the very end.
The most likely case is a stinger for either “Thor: Ragnarok” or “Avengers: Infinity War,” though a “Spider-Man: Homecoming” one is also possible.
Meanwhile Box-Office Pro, which does long range box-office forecasts, suggests the film is heading towards a $160 million domestic opening weekend, far above the $94 million the first film opened to in 2014.
Finally, the first official clip from the film is online which you can see below. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” opens May 5th.
