It’s official – “Grindhouse” will be split for the UK theatrical release it seems.
British distributor Momentum Pictures were, until recently, quietly confident about keeping the Tarantino/Rodriguez flick as a double feature in Blighty this June, but now it seems the inevitable split has had to happen.
The Times Online reports that “Death Proof” will be released on September 21st, and while there’s no date for “Planet Terror” as yet – a late October release seems in the cards. No word as yet as to whether either film will be extended versions.
Considering it’s that far off, it’s expected that a lot of UK fans will be following in the footsteps of their Australian counterparts – ordering in the US DVDs from Amazon and the like. Already its been suggested by Kurt Russell himself that the films will get separate disc releases in the US.
