Grillo, Palicki Talk Marvel Film Future

Though it was only a small role in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” acclaimed actor Frank Grillo’s role in that film was always thought to be a precursor to bigger things – specifically him coming back in future Marvel films as the villain Crossbones.

Speaking with Collider recently, he confirms he’ll definitely be back and potentially not just in “Captain America: Civil War” as has been rumored:

“I have a multi-contract deal with Marvel. The movie [Winter Soldier] was an origin film for that character. If you know the comic, he has a significant presence. So, knock wood. With Marvel, you can’t say very much, but I’m cautiously optimistic that we’ll have some fun, in the next few Marvel movies.”

It has also been suggested that Crossbones could be the main villain in the upcoming standalone “Black Panther” film. With Chadwick Boseman’s debut in that role being a part of ‘Civil War’, the seeds of Crossbones being an antagonist for “Black Panther” could well be planted in ‘Civil War’.

Meanwhile Adrianne Palicki has spoken about the introduction of her character Bobbi Morse (aka. Mockingbird) on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” specifically about whether the relationship the character had in the comics with Hawkeye will be translated to the screen. Palicki seems optimistic it will get some screen time, telling MTV News:

“It is a huge part of Mockingbird, of Bobbi Morse, so I’m hoping to see that relationship in the future. So whether it’s getting Jeremy Renner on the show, or otherwise, you can’t really deny that’s a huge part of her character.”
