Green, Seydoux, Depardieu Say “Farewell”

Eva Green, Lea Seydoux and Gerard Depardieu are all set to star in the upcoming Marie Antoinette project “Farewell, My Queen” reports Bleeding Cool.

Based on the Chantal Thomas novel, Seydoux plays one of the royal readers within the insular society of the court of Marie Antoinette (Green) and Louis XVI. As the final days of the French Revolution ultimately engulf the palace, the story is a darkly humorous look into the social graces and behaviours within the various classes of those who occupy it.

Depardieu’s part has yet to be specified, though the decapitated head of her husband Louis XVI apparently serves a role in the story. Benoit Jacquot (“Deep In The Woods”) directs.
