Antonio Banderas has joined and Richard E. Grant will return for “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard,” the upcoming sequel to “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,” which has just kicked off production.
Ryan Reynolds’ Michael Bryce joins Darius (Samuel L. Jackson) and his wife Sonia (Salma Hayek) on a mission along the Amalfi Coast in the follow-up to the 2017 action comedy which grossed over $180 million worldwide.
Banderas’ role is under wraps. Grant is set to return as his Mr. Seifert, a drugged-out London corporate executive whom was Michael Bryce’s previous job before Darius. The pair join Morgan Freeman who also stars.
Patrick Hughes directs from a script by Tom O’Connor. Matt O’Toole and Les Weldon are producing.
