Grandmothers Still Get Some Action

Producer Dominique Besnehard has snagged the literary adaptation rights to Nobel Prize-winning author Doris Lessing’s “The Grandmothers” says The Hollywood Reporter.

Anne Fontaine will direct the English-language drama about two fiftysomething women, each of whom is having an affair with the other’s son. Nathalie Baye and an A-list American actress are being sought to star.

Fontaine, currently in pre-production on her highly anticipated Coco Chanel biopic starring Audrey Tautou, will shoot “Grandmothers” in Biarritz after production on “Coco” wraps.
