Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum selling artist Ariana Grande and ten-time Grammy, Oscar-winning and multi-platinum selling musician John Legend are set to perform the Oscar and Grammy-winning duet “Beauty and the Beast”.
The song will serve as the title track on the upcoming soundtrack to the live-action film adaptation of Disney’s 1991 animated classic “Beauty and the Beast”.
A remake of the ballad originally performed by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson- which won an Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy Award – this new take will also be featured in the film. The music video will be directed by Dave Meyers, responsible for such videos as Katy Perry’s “Firework” and Pink’s “Just Like Fire”.
In related news, check out several new images from the film below, shots that include new looks at the Beast in question along with Luke Evans as Gaston. The shots first appeared at Total Film along with a quote from Evans who says his Gaston has not been toned down from the original:
“I think we did the opposite. Everything he does, he does extreme. There was no point trying to find a way to tone it down.”
The Bill Condon-directed “Beauty and the Beast” opens March 17th.
