Netflix has renewed their Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin-led critically-acclaimed comedy series “Grace and Frankie” for a seventh and final sixteen-episode season.
The order comes ahead of the sixth season launching on January 2020 and with it, the show will end as Netflix’s longest-running original series with a total of 94 episodes to date.
Fonda and Tomlin said in a joint statement to Vital Thrills: “We are both delighted and heartbroken that ‘Grace & Frankie’ will be back for its seventh, though final, season. We’re so grateful that our show has been able to deal with issues that have really connected to our grand generation. And their kids, and amazingly, their kids as well! We’ll miss these two old gals, Grace and Frankie, as much as many of their fans will, but we’ll still be around. We’ve outlasted so many things – just hope we don’t outlast the planet.”
The cast also included Brooklyn Decker, Ethan Embry, June Diane Raphael, and Baron Vaughn and is executive produced by Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris.
