Writer/director David S. Goyer has dropped out of directing the long in development reboot of the “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” property at Sony Pictures.
Goyer, who was reportedly in talks in November, never officially signed on to helm and now has shut down the possibility due to scheduling issues. He will, however, remain a writer and executive producer on the project.
Both Jon M. Chu and McG have previously been linked as potential directors on the film which is still aiming for a December 2019 release. Goyer is serving as executive producer on SyFy’s “Krypton” and is adapting Isaac Asimov’s “Foundation” trilogy into an event series.
