Having resisted joining superhero tentpoles in the past, and showing a decided reluctance to sign up to multi-film deals, actor Ryan Gosling may be changing his mind.
Heat Vision reports that the actor has had meetings with Marvel Studios to discuss playing “Doctor Strange,” and is being courted to star in David Ayer’s film take on the DC comics title “Suicide Squad”.
In regards to the latter, the likes of Will Smith, Tom Hardy and “The Wolf of Wall Street” actress Margot Robbie are all reportedly fielding offers to hop onboard. Gosling was previously keen on playing Hal Jordan in “Green Lantern” but balked at the contract which called for sequels.
Gosling is also said to be considering an offer to star in Dean Parisot’s adaptation of “The Secret Life of Houdini: The Making of America’s First Superhero” for Summit Entertainment.
