A couple of key release date changes and announcements today starting with Sony Pictures setting a January 26th 2018 release for the “Goosebumps” sequel.
Jack Black has yet to sign on for the follow-up to the previous film adaptation, but all the key crew like director Rob Letterman, screenwriter Darren Lemke, and producers Deborah Forte and Neal H. Moritz are back.
Sony has also pulled the Natalie Dormer and Matt Smith-led horror thriller “Patient Zero” from its release February 17th this year. Taking advantage of the situation, Open Road Films has moved up its Nicholas Hoult and Felicity Jones-led action thriller “Collide” from a limited to a wide release on February 24th.
Next up in 2017, the Benny Boom-directed Tupac Shakur biopic “All Eyez on Me” has been locked in for a June 16th release. Demetrius Shipp Jr., Danai Gurira, Kat Graham, Jamal Woolard, Keith Robinson, and Cory Hardrict co-star.
‘Eyez’ chronicles the life and legacy of the late Shakur, including his rise to superstardom as a hip-hop artist and actor, his imprisonment, and his time at Death Row Records.
Two weeks after that, Broad Green Pictures has locked in a June 30th wide release for “Annabelle” director John Leonetti’s horror thriller “Wish Upon”.
Joey King plays a girl whose father (Ryan Phillippe) brings home an old music box that is said to grant seven wishes. As her wishes start coming true, loved ones around her start dying. Ki Hong Lee, and Sherilyn Fenn co-star.
