Goode Is Ozymandias In Watchmen

After being linked repeatedly with Jude Law, it looks like the role of Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias in Zack Snyder’s “Watchmen” film adaptation is going elsewhere.

The IESB reports that Matthew Goode (“Match Point,” “The Lookout,” “Chasing Liberty”) has won the role of the retired superhero with an Alexander the Great complex who markets his image for money.

Goode joins Billy Crudup as Dr. Manhatton, Patrick Wilson as The Night Owl, Malin Ackerman as Silk Spectre and Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach. He’ll next be seen in the remake of “Brideshead Revisited” with Emma Thompson and Michael Gambon.
