CBS All Access’ acclaimed legal drama “The Good Fight” is set to have an encore run of the first season on the regular CBS network this summer.
The Eye is ramping up consumer promotion for its subscription streaming service with CBS president and acting CEO Joe Ianniello revealing at the company’s annual shareholders meeting that they are strongly considering this idea to promote awareness of the show and CBS All Access ahead of the show’s fourth season next year.
“The Good Fight,” the spin-off of “The Good Wife” which aired from 2009 to 2016 on CBS, was the first original drama to launch on CBS All Access and has been an exclusive there ever since for its four million user subscriber base.
The show’s third season wrapped two weeks ago on the service and airing it on the main network during the summer-light programming period will potentially help CBS make the most of its investment and drive subscribers for the two further seasons already on the service.
