“Lost” producer and “Cabin in the Woods” scribe Drew Goddard has come onboard to pen a new ending for Marc Forster’s Brad Pitt-starrer “World War Z” reports Deadline.
Reports had Goddard’s old cohort and “Prometheus” scribe Damon Lindelof writing, reports that are only partly correct. Turns out Lindelof cracked the new ending but didn’t have time to script it – as a result Goddard took on the duty.
Further writers may yet also have a go at tackling the troubled project. No date has been set for the reshoots to implement the new ending, but Forster is expected to be involved.
