“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” actor Domhnall Gleeson is in talks to play “Winnie the Pooh” creator AA Milne in the Simon Curtis-directed “Goodbye Christopher Robin”.
The story charts the relationship between Milne and his son, which led to the creation of the honey-loving bear Winnie the Pooh. Pooh along with Tigger, Eyeore and Piglet, were named after Milne’s son Robin’s toys.
Robin initially had a difficult relationship with his father, and served as the inspiration for the character Christopher Robin. Damian Jones and Steve Christian are producing the feature.
Gleeson has this, “Star Wars: Episode VIII,” Netflix’s National Lampoon origins film “A Futile & Stupid Gesture,” and Lenny Abrahamson’s ghost story adaptation “The Little Stranger” on the way.
