Domhnall Gleeson and Michelle Pfeiffer are set to join Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem in the new and currently untitled film from acclaimed filmmaker Darren Aronofsky that’s set up at Paramount Pictures.
The story follows a couple whose relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their tranquil existence. The tone is completely unknown at this point, meaning the film could run the gamut from being either a talky dark comedy like “Carnage” to a disturbing and even gory home invasion film.
Ed Harris and Brian Gleeson also star in the project which will shoot this spring for a 2017 release. Aronofsky is set to write, direct and produce through his own Protozoa Pictures along with Scott Franklin and Ari Handel.
