Nick Hornby is penning the adaptation of Colm Toibin’s 2009 novel which deals with emigration from Ireland to America in the 1950s.

She falls for, and secretly marries an Italian plumber (Cohen). Returning home for her sister’s funeral, she settles back into a routine and meets a charming new man (Gleeson). She soon must decide which life she wants for herself.
